About the Painting
Do It Scared is one of the largest wildlife paintings I’ve created and part of my Wild series.
I wanted to take the energy and movement of this series to a much larger scale. The bison felt perfect for it - strong, resilient, wild, and completely commanding at 48” × 60”.
The painting was created with layers of acrylic paint and mixed media, combining expressive marks, texture, color, and geometric elements throughout.
An original hand-typed poem is incorporated directly into the painting.

moments begin when we aren’t sure
