“The Future Is Calling - Morning Sun”

This is the final larger painting for my series “Morning Sun” - for now, at least.

For each painting, I sat and studied the finished piece of art for quite some time. Often over a period of days. I would sit and allow it to speak to me. And from those interactions, the poems were born. Each one completely new and unique to the art that it pairs with. I’m really proud of that. And I believe that passion can be felt.

This painting specifically has the magic and brightness of a new day dawning. With hints of darkness, that we all still have to battle through. That’s the spirit behind my work. That yes, life can be difficult. Even downright impossible at times. But it’s also so damn beautiful. And worth it. I feel like this series says that louder than any other.
